2010
Stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel. Philippians 1:27
The Logic of Missions
We face a humanity that is too precious to neglect.
We know a remedy for the ills of the world too wonderful to withhold.
We have a Christ who is too glorious to hide.
We have an adventure that is too thrilling to miss.

The Mintons - Ukraine
Praises - ❧ good health and strength ❧ safety and very little car trouble in driving many kilometers (thankfully it finally got above freezing) ❧ excellent professors and classes - in some new locations also ❧ some salvations, rededications, and baptisms ❧ total number of adult students (all categories) has gone past 500; we had hoped for 100 by this time ❧ one of our students is now involved in full-time evangelism (we help sponsor him) ❧ much-needed translator Tanya and secretary another Tanya ❧ four weeks in USA visiting family last year
Prayer requests - ❧ continued health and strength; Nancy still has trouble with her right eye. ❧ that our van would give us many more kilometers of safety - it has over 250 thousand ❧ new van ❧ for our new classes in several new cities

| The Bassetts - Uganda
The work at the refugee camp certainly needs your prayers. We have liberty, and many people come to hear the preaching. However when I show them from the scriptures that they need to be baptized after their salvation most don't want to hear about it. They all acknowledge that our teaching is purely from the Bible and much better than the churches which they have attended in the past. However in spite of the error of the churches who supposedly baptized them, they are holding fast to their traditions. I clearly and thoroughly lay out verse after verse from God's Word and they agree, but stubbornly trust in a baptism from a group who teaches a false gospel, or a false baptism. These are spiritual battles so please pray that God would open their eyes to the truth. They want to become members but refuse to be baptized scripturally. It is their liberty, but their growth is being stunted.

The Brewers - Brazil Praise the Lord that February has arrived! People are finally back at home; school has started; (our school year is inverted here) and we have begun to have a higher attendance. When there are more here, we have more of a chance to see folks saved. At our Family Conference, because it was during school vacation, we had almost as many visitors as we had members! Our members were out of town, and visitors were in town. We are awaiting the arrival of Brother Adelmo & his wife Rúbia and their two children to arrive here to work with us. Rúbia was saved in the Machadinho church when we were there when she was 16. Adelmo was saved as a young adult in that church and they were married there. He just graduated from the Bible Institute in Campinas, Brazil. Our prayer is that Bro. Adelmo may be the national that God uses here.

The Carl Johnson Family - to the Deaf in Brazil
We rejoice that over one hundred people accepted Christ as Savior in our church during the year of 2009. Numerous deaf have come to Christ along with many of their hearing family members. I am exceptionally happy for deaf teenager, Lucas. He and his mom were both saved and had been coming to our church, but we were praying that his dad would start to come as well. After several years of witnessing to him and inviting him to church, the father finally came the day I baptized his deaf son. Since then we have seen a transformation, and the whole family is now saved and faithfully attending church. Praise the Lord!
We will be going back to the States on furlough in May in order to report to our supporting churches what the Lord has done for us in Brazil, as well as to raise additional support. The dollar has lost 30% of its value since we moved in 2001, yet the cost of living has nearly doubled. Philippians 4:19 says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
